There is solution just to get smart doorbell and get cheap tablet designated to work as monitor.
You can setup it to work with your cell phones and with the tablet at home. And you can mount tablet on the wall.

Sound like you need smart doorbell with good video quality and without adding wires.
I can suggest to get Ring Doorbell. It works with the battery and need to be recharge every 4-6 months.
The only downside is video quality isn’t full HD. It’s only 720p.
If you can add wires then I suggest you to get either Skybell HD or Ring Pro doorbells.
Both of them have full HD video quality and it will be great for you.

Motion sensor sensitivity only adjust on regular Ring Doorbell.
And in Ring Pro you can specify with which area exactly you want to set it up.
To answer your questions:
1. Only in Ring Doorbell
2. Again only in regular Ring Doorbell. Ring Pro only will detect motions in specific areas which you will specify.

Yes, the pictures are correct.
The Ring Pro comes with infra-red night mode which is black and white like in professional security cameras.
And infra-red vision actually more crisp and will have better details in the area without external lighting because has better resolution 1080p vs 720p.
On this particular images there were external lighting from the walkway near the door and Ring (non-pro) got better image.
If you are worried about night time vision then I suggest to you to get Skybell HD, it has better night vision because of external LED very bright.
Otherwise, first generation Ring Doorbell is good beginner choice.

It’s possible.
For 540 feet distance you have couple choices:
1. You can get Doorbird intercom and connected with the ethernet wire. It will be long cable, but it’s best quality intercom for the gate.
2. There are some intercoms like ALEKO LM163D which can communicate wirelessly with the monitors through 2.4GHz frequency. It says works up to 500 feets, but it possible to work with 540 feets too.
3. If video isn’t priority then you can get Mighty Mule intercom.

You can control sensitivity on Ring Video Doorbell.
The Ring Pro only gives the ability to set up the motion detector zones.
If you are looking for better video quality compared to the first generation Ring doorbell then I suggest you get Skybell HD, it has motion detector sensitivity control.

You can add Ring chime to your house with Ring or Ring Pro doorbell. It will ring like a normal doorbell and notify kids in the house.
Or if they have a tablet they can see and communicate with people outside through the tablet.
