I have a different type of scenario that I would like a recommendation. I have a patio home with a gated entrance. So in ordere to get to the home you have to go through a gate. I do have wireless internet in the house. I would like to have a wireless doorbell that is fine with the elements of weather that I can hear in the house. I would really love one that has a video as well but that might be impossible. Any recommendations?

We are in a space with different offices and would like to separate the ringers so if you’re looking for main office you can choose the button marked “main office”. If you’re looking for another office it will only ring in that office if you push the button marked as that office. Do you know of a wireless doorbell system that can accomplish this?

I am looking for a wireless doorbell system that has the following:
1) Will handle at minimum 5 remote buttons for different sounds
2) Is capable of uploading my own mp3 tones or voice announcement like which door is active
3) long wireless range 350′ minimum
4) Video is not necessary
5) Buttons sturdy and weatherproof (do not have to be water proof but can handle occasional light moisture
Does anyone make such a unit?
My home is a solid concrete block construction, push button will mount on that type of wall. The chime will mount about 60 feet away, thru the house and sliding doors and outside on the lanai. I’ve tried a few different brands with little success. The only major obstruction is the wall where the button is mounted. Which wireless battery operated system (outlets are not an option) would you recommend

I understand that you have 5 different doors and would like to have 5 remote buttons and 1 wireless doorbell connected with them and ability to play different mp3 sound when remote buttons pressed.
You can get new Honeywell doorbell with 450 feet range and mp3 tones and you can connect up to 6 remote controls.
I have a house built in 1912 and it has a stucco exterior. The “chicken wire” used as the base for the stucco is not like chicken wire today. This stuff is 1/8″ wide in small 1″ diameter hexagons and stops the entire RF spectrum–Digital TV, old Analogue TV, AM, FM, Shortwave Radio, Cell Phones (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, Blackberry phones all are effectively stopped at the house walls). My daughter (parent attorney, B.S. in Physics) says I am living in a Faraday Cage!
Wired is not a possible option. Does having a range of 1000 feet indicate the signal is likely to penetrate my Faraday Cage and travel 30 feet to where I want to put the receiving unit/ringer?

I think Honeywell, Dakota or Jacob Jensen should work. In the worst case scenario if it won’t work you can return the doorbell.
I suggest even to get couple different model to test them.

Installed today. Works absolutely as Honeywell advertised and you suggested.
The push button was placed exactly where the previous button was. That button (by nutone) had information available only after after purchase which warned against installing on a metal door frame! And also suggested rotating the button 90 degrees, which in my case would have had the RF signal directed into my neighbor’s house! I did not follow that suggestion.) The nuton information suggested placing a piece of wood under their button, which I did. A red oak 1/4″ deep (actual) by 1-1/4″ wide (actual) by 3″ (actual) high. I used the same piece of wood under the Honeywell button. My wife of 45 years is happy, so you know I am too.
